A Note from the Party: Canada’s new Electoral Law requires us to publish this policy. While we find it
somewhat absurd that this law forgot to reform the electoral system (as promised by Justin Trudeau in
2015), we nevertheless take privacy very seriously!

2. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
The Rhinoceros Party (Parti Rhino) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy, in
compliance with Canada’s Electoral Law. Our commitments include:
• Respecting and protecting your personal information
• Ensuring the confidentiality and security of your data
• Complying with Canada’s Electoral Law
• In case of translation discrepancy, the French version takes precedence over the
English version.

3. Collection of Personal Information
Personal information refers to any information that identifies an individual, including:
• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Financial information
Elections Canada provides all registered political parties with an electoral list containing names and
addresses. We only collect personal information you agree to provide when you:
• Become a donor or party member
• Subscribe to our newsletter
• Register for an event
By providing your email address or personal information, you consent to being added to our contact
list.

4. Use of Personal Information
We use your personal information to:
• Keep you informed about Parti Rhino activities
• Communicate with you about your donations and membership
• Process your donations (financial information)
• Meet our legal obligations toward Elections Canada

5. Protection of Your Personal Information
Protecting your privacy is an absolute priority. Our security measures include:
• Rigorous security systems against unauthorized access
• Strict access control mechanisms
• Mandatory terms of use for all system users
• Careful vetting of third-party hosting services (cloud)
• We never sell your personal information.
In the event of a privacy breach, the Parti Rhino commits to:
• Document the circumstances of the breach
• Identify the personal data that may have been compromised
• Immediately and proactively notify affected individuals
• Publicly disclose the data leak

6. Privacy Officer
The Parti Rhino has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for:
• Ensuring the protection of your personal information
• Overseeing compliance with this policy
• Ensuring any third-party entity also protects your data
This role is held by the actual Leader Chinook Blais-Leduc.

7. Server Information & Cookies
We collect information from our website servers, including:
• Visitor IP addresses
• Visit times and durations
• Pages visited
Cookies (small text files) may also be used to remember your preferences (language, units of
measure, etc.). You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or accept them on a case-by-case
basis.

8. Links to External Sites
The Parti Rhino is not responsible for the data practices of external sites to which we link. We
strongly encourage all visitors to review the privacy policies of those external sites.

9. Employees
Although the Parti Rhino currently has no employees, should we hire one, we commit to:
• Providing adequate training in cybersecurity and personal data protection
• Restricting access to personal data to trained employees only
